URL and path

Change the admin panel's address and where your homepage sends visitors.

System Settings → URL & Path controls two addresses: where the admin panel lives, and where visitors to your installation's home page are sent. Both are installation-wide.

Admin Path

The admin panel is at /admin by default. Moving it to a less obvious path, such as /manage-7k2, makes it harder for bots to find your sign-in page.

Rules for the path:

  • lowercase letters and numbers, with single hyphens between words;
  • up to 50 characters;
  • not a path Paybob already uses, such as api or setup.

When you save a new path, you're taken straight to the panel at its new address, still signed in. The old address stops working immediately, so update your bookmarks and tell your team.

Locked out?

If the path setting is ever missing or invalid, Paybob falls back to /admin, so a bad value can't lock you out of the panel.

Homepage Redirect

Your installation's home page, such as https://pay.example.com/, isn't something customers need. Set Homepage Redirect to send visitors to your main website instead, such as yourbrand.com.

  • Type the address with or without https://. Only http and https addresses are accepted.
  • It only affects the home page itself. The admin panel, the API, and checkout, invoice and payment-link pages are unaffected.
  • A redirect to the installation's own home page is refused, since it would loop. Another page on the same domain is fine.
  • Clear the field to turn the redirect off.

The redirect is temporary (HTTP 302), so you can change it any time without browsers remembering the old one.

Permissions

This page is one permission, given through an installation-level role.
