Analytics
Revenue, payment method, refund and customer reports over any date range.
Analytics reports on your revenue, payment methods, refunds and customers for the current Brand. Nothing on this page changes your data: every figure is calculated fresh from your transactions each time you open it.
Tabs
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Revenue at a glance for nine fixed periods |
| Revenue | Gross and net revenue, refunds and average order value, with a chart |
| Payment Methods | How each gateway performs |
| Refunds | How much you refund, and how often |
| Customers | New and returning customers, and your top customers |
Each tab after Overview has its own Period control, so you can compare, say, this month's revenue with last year's refunds. Choose from Today, Yesterday, This week, Last week, This month, Last month, This year, Previous year or a Custom Range.
Revenue figures show the percentage change from the period before, for example this month against last month.
Overview
The Revenue Snapshot shows gross revenue for Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year, Last Year and Lifetime. The current periods (today, this week, this month, this year) show their change from the period before; the past periods show how many payments they include.

How the numbers are calculated
- Revenue counts completed payments only. A payment that was later refunded no longer has the status Completed, so it drops out of gross revenue; its refund is counted under refunds.
- Refunds are dated by when the transaction was last updated. Paybob keeps a refund total per transaction rather than a separate record for each refund, so refund dates are approximate.
- Everything is converted into the Brand's default currency with your current exchange rates. If a currency has no rate yet, its payments are left out and a warning at the top of the page names it. Because current rates are used, a converted historical total can change after you update rates.
Who sees what
The Analytics permission opens the page and the Overview tab. Each of the other four tabs has its own permission, so you can, for example, let a role see Payment Methods but not Revenue. See Staff and roles.
