Admin panel

Panel overview

Sign in, switch Brands, and find your way around the admin panel.

The admin panel is where you and your team run Paybob day to day. It lives at /admin on your installation, for example https://pay.example.com/admin.

A different address

You can move the panel to another path, such as /manage, so it's harder to find. See URL and path.

Signing in

Sign in with the email and password of your account. If you forget your password, use Forgot password? on the sign-in page to get a reset link by email (this needs email set up).

Secure your account

Open your profile from the avatar menu in the top-right corner. From there you can:

  • change your name, email and password;
  • turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, and save your recovery codes;
  • add passkeys, so you can sign in with your device's fingerprint, face or PIN instead of a password.

Every administrator should turn on two-factor authentication or add a passkey.

Finding your way around

The sidebar on the left lists the pages in this order:

Addons can add their own pages to the sidebar or to System Settings. The panel's version number is shown at the bottom of the sidebar.

You only see the pages your role allows. If a page from these docs is missing from your sidebar, ask an administrator for the permission. See Staff and roles.

Switching Brands

If your installation runs more than one Brand, the Brand menu at the top of the sidebar shows which one you're working in. Click it to switch. Everything you see and change (transactions, customers, gateways, most settings) belongs to the selected Brand.

The Brand is part of the address: /admin/your-brand/transactions. You only see the Brands you're a member of; administrators see them all.

Some pages and settings apply to the whole installation rather than one Brand. Those are marked Installation-wide under the page title.

Searching

The search box in the top bar searches across four kinds of records at once:

  • Transactions, by payment ID, gateway transaction ID, or the customer's name, email or phone;
  • Customers, by customer ID, name, email or phone;
  • Invoices, by invoice ID or the customer's name or email;
  • Payment links, by link ID, product name or description.

Type at least two characters. Up to five results are shown for each kind, and you only see results from pages you have access to.

Clearing the cache

The cache button next to your avatar clears Paybob's caches: settings, configuration, compiled views and so on. Use it if a change doesn't seem to take effect. It asks for confirmation first, and it's only shown to roles with the Cache permission.

When the license isn't active

If your installation has no active license, the panel only opens the pages needed to fix it. Administrators are taken to System Settings → License; staff see a notice asking them to contact an administrator. Sidebar items are shown with a Locked badge until the license is active again. See License.
