Paybob

Getting started

Introduction

What Paybob is, what it does for you, and how these docs are organised.

Paybob is a self-hosted payment platform. You install it on your own server, connect the payment gateways you already use, and your customers pay through checkout, invoice and payment-link pages that carry your own brand. Money goes straight to your own accounts: Paybob never holds it.

What Paybob does

  • Takes payments through many gateways. Card processors, wallets and bank transfers are gateway packages you install and configure from the admin panel. You decide which ones each business offers.
  • Verifies payments automatically. For mobile wallets and bank transfers that only send an SMS, Paybob reads the payment SMS your phone receives and completes the matching payment for you. See SMS verification.
  • Gives you a full admin panel. Transactions, customers, invoices, payment links, analytics, staff accounts with their own permissions, and settings for every part of the system.
  • Runs several businesses from one installation. Each Brand has its own gateways, customers, settings and even its own domain.
  • Connects to your website or app. The Payment API creates payments, verifies them and sends webhooks to your system. Its full reference is at developer.paybob.io.
  • Can be extended. You can build your own gateways, themes and addons.
